Armory Encores
April 8th - 10th 2016
To kick off the 2016 season and in celebration of 10 years at The Armory, don’t miss your chance to hear your favorite Broadway songs from past Armory productions again in the Drill Hall Theatre. This cabaret-style concert will feature beautiful melodies from shows like Miss Saigon, Guys and Dolls, White Christmas, Little Shop of Horrors, Aida, and more. Between a cast that will include both past Armory stars and new performers, Armory Encores will honor the first 10 years at The Armory and launch us into the next. Suitable for all ages!
Pinkalicious: The Musical
May 7th -15th 2016
Pinkalicious can’t stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor’s office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe - a dream come true for this pink loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this predicament. Based on the beloved children’s books. In addition to a meal your kids are sure to love, each child will be treated to a pink cupcake.
Avenue Q
July 28th - August 14th 2016
Avenue Q is a laugh out loud musical that uses muppet-style puppets, animated by unconcealed puppeteers, alongside human actors to tell the all too familiar story of a recent college grad named Princeton. Princeton moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q where he meets Kate (the girl next door), Rod (the Republican), Trekkie (the internet sexpert), and other colorful types who help Princeton finally discover his purpose in life! Adults love Avenue Q, but they seem a little, er, fuzzy on whether it’s appropriate for kids. We’ll try to clear that up. Avenue Q is great for adults of all ages and even young adults in high school because it’s about real life. It’s not appropriate for young children because Avenue Q addresses issues like sex, drinking, and surfing the web for…you know. Parents should use their discretion based on the maturity level of their children. If you are unsure, videos from previous productions are available on YouTube to give you a little taste of the show.
